Ian Holloway is back with his Sky Bet EFL predictions with some mouth-watering clashes from across the Championship. Minnesota Timberwolves Gear . There is plenty of action across Sky Sports this weekend as Derby County travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday lunch time, before Bristol City host high-flying Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday evening, all live on Sky Sports 1 HD.Meanwhile, you can follow all the 3pm games in the Championship on Soccer Saturday, with highlights on Sky Sports digital platforms at full-time - but heres what EFL expert and Sky Sports pundit Holloway is predicting for the divisions 12 games this weekend: Brentford vs Fulham November 4, 2016, 7:00pm Live on Get Sky Sports Get a Sky Sports pass Wolves v Derby (Saturday, 12.30pm, live on Sky Sports 1)Wolves are obviously trying to find a new manager, so what is going to happen? Who knows! How are they going to be? I really could not tell you. It is a strange thing to happen, new owners come in and they normally bring in their own man. They have got rid of my mate Kenny Jackett before a league game was played and you would have thought they would have put in who they wanted. So is that the case? Probably not, so I do not know what that is going to do to that dressing room and how it is going to affect them. Highlights of Blackburn v Wolves in the Sky Bet Championship There is going to be another change and they said it is probably Rob Edwards chance to get the job, but I do not think so and they have been interviewing everybody left, right and centre. Obviously, he is just interim, so how are the players going to see that? They came back last week and got a point against Blackburn, so it is not all bad, but they would have expected to beat someone down at the bottom. And they are a little bit close to it themselves. It is a big, big week for them, but is it too much for them? I would suggest yes. Wolves vs Derby November 5, 2016, 12:00pm Live on Get Sky Sports Get a Sky Sports pass OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-2 with Tom Ince to score first (Sky Bet odds 10/1)Wigan v Reading (Saturday, 3pm)At least the players know who they have got, but how will Warren Joyce take to management? Who does he model himself on, as he is hardly Jurgen Klopp or David Wagner? You could argue he is following Sir Alex Ferguson, but we do not know. We do not know how close he was to Ferguson. It is a different choice and I hope it works out for them.I think Reading will be too strong for them - I like Reading and the way they play and move it around. Will Warren have had enough time to affect things? It is more a long-term effect, so if he does do it, then great. But I cant see it, I can only see a Reading victory. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Cardiff and Wigan OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-1 with Garath McCleary to score first (Sky Bet odds 7/1)Nottingham Forest v QPR (Saturday, 3pm)Both teams need to win badly for their own reasons. Jimmy will be desperate to win after last week, so he needs to sort it out. I cant sort these two out - Forest are OK going forward, but let too many in. QPR looked solid until they lost 6-1 at Newcastle and then it has all gone a bit pear-shaped. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Reading and Nottingham Forest OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 with Nedum Onuoha to score first (Sky Bet odds 5/1)Norwich v Leeds (Saturday, 3pm)How are Norwich going to be after losing five? They could be a wounded animal, imagine like a wolf that has got caught in a trap, which would not be very nice to play. But even though Garry Monk has got Leeds playing well, I am actually backing Norwich, who I do not think will give much away and will win by one goal. This is a test for Leeds, though, who I have said quite categorically are going to have a good season, as long as the owner trusts Garry with it. A few weeks ago, they were losing a few games and there was speculation. And Massimo Cellino needs to trust him, as the long Garry Mink stays there, the better Leeds are going to be.But in this game, I can see a big problem with Norwich, who I think are going to bounce back. And their manager is really determined. I do not think they have that many issues and they are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. I would not want to play Norwich after last weeks game. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Brighton and Norwich OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-0 with Cameron Jerome to score first (Sky Bet odds 6/1)Aston Villa v Blackburn (Saturday, 3pm)I can only see Villa winning this. I just think they have turned the corner and will be confident now after that draw away at Birmingham. And with the way their season has gone so far, that is another feather in Steve Bruces cap. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Birmingham and Aston Villa OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-0 with Ross McCormack to score first (Sky Bet odds 11/2)Rotherham v Preston (Saturday, 3pm)Kenny will be disappointed at dropping points after being 2-1 up at Ipswich last week, while Preston have my old assistant manager working for them, and he has done a great job with Simon Grayson. But I think it is going to be a 1-1 draw Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Ipswich and Rotherham OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 with Jermaine Beckford to score first (Sky Bet odds 5/1)Sheffield Wednesday v Ipswich (Saturday, 3pm)I think Ipswichs fans need to remember where they were before Mick came in, as he has dragged them up by their coattails. And they have not been able to compete wages-wise, so you have to stay with. They are a great club, Mick is a great manager and the fans need to get behind him.It is amazing how short peoples memories are - where were they when he turned up? His first game was against me at Crystal Place and they lost 5-0. And by the end of that season, he had got 60 points, which was unbelievable, as they only had eight when he took over. So it is absolutely incredible what he has done, but this is what football supporters are like.Wednesday had a great season last year and have a slightly stronger squad, they have to carry the weight of expectation this year which they did not have last year and this is a tough game to call. But I know Micks teams, so will go for a boring goalless draw - there is always one - as his sides are always hard to break down. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match Derby and Sheffield Wednesday OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-0 (Sky Bet odds 7/1)Huddersfield v Birmingham (Saturday, 3pm)Nothing has been proven yet. Can you do that high-tempo pressing game for the whole length of the season in the Championship from start to finish? Are they burnt out? Do they need to make changes? I really do not know, but what they have done so far is really magnificent.Normally, they bounce back and that is what they need to do again. But will they? I have been so wrong with Huddersfield this year, it is unbelievable! I said they would be relegated. Can they do it this weekend? I am going to say yes they can.OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 with Sean Scannell to score first (Sky Bet odds 8/1) Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Hudersfield Burton v Barnsley (Saturday, 3pm)Burton are used to winning at home, it has been a fortress for them over the last few seasons, but it is a tough ask, so I will say 2-2. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds and Burton OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-2 with Marley Watkins to score first (Sky Bet odds 12/1)Newcastle v Cardiff (Saturday, 3pm)Well, they have just lost to Wigan 1-0 after being on a crest of a wave, so they might feel on a crest of a slump after that. There are problems in that dressing room and I know Neil, he is a great bloke, but he is not a miracle worker. Can they beat Newcastle? Well, if anyone can, Neil can. He will have a gameplan, it will be different to anyone elses, he is a great motivator, but I just think Newcastle will have too much for them. They have shaken off the weight of the shirt and the responsibility, the place is buzzing and I can see them cruising. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Preston and Newcastle OLLIE PREDICTS: 3-1 with Aleksandar Mitrovic to score first (Sky Bet odds 11/1)Bristol City v Brighton (Saturday, 5.30pm, live on Sky Sports 1)The way Brighton go about things, all they need to do is keep their defensive solidity, while they are great going forward, and he has got a better and better group there. And adding Glenn Murray is a stroke of genius, although he is only on loan, and he got a hat-trick last week. Bristol C vs Brighton November 5, 2016, 5:15pm Live on Get Sky Sports Get a Sky Sports pass Bristol City are having a great season, but it depends on Tammy Abraham - can he turn up and get a goal? But it is a big ask. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Barnsley v Bristol City OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-2 with Tammy Abraham to score first (Sky Bet odds 17/2)Brentford v Fulham I am not sure how confident Brentford will be after Fulham smashed Huddersfield 5-0. They will be delighted with their own form, which is great, with a fantastic victory at QPR. Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between QPR and Brentford So what Fulham are they going to see? Very, very impressive last week - wow - and every week there are some great games on and this is a really, good game. It will be really attacking, Brentford play some good stuff and Fulham were great last week.OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-2 with Chris Martin to score first (Sky Bet odds 12/1)RESULT: Brentford 0-2 Fulham Also See: Championship video Fixtures Table Live on Sky Gorgui Dieng Jersey . John Coates, who has made six trips to Brazil as part of the IOCs co-ordination commission for Rio, said the Brazilians are behind "in many, many ways" and are in worse shape than Greek organizers were in preparing for the 2004 Olympics. Despite the critical delays, the Australian said there is no backup plan and the games will take place in Rio. Coates noted that the IOC had taken the unprecedented step of embedding experts in the host city to help the local organizing committee deliver the games. "The IOC has formed a special task force to try and speed up preparations but the situation is critical on the ground," Coates told an Olympic forum in Sydney, outlining that construction delays are just part of the problem. "The IOC has adopted a more hands-on role. It is unprecedented for the IOC, but there is no plan B. We are going to Rio." Brazil has also come under fire from footballs world governing body, FIFA, for long delays in construction of stadiums and other infrastructure and the overdue delivery of venues for the World Cup, which kicks off in June. Two years out from the 2016 Olympics, the situation on the construction front is just as bleak. "We have become very concerned. They are not ready in many, many ways," Coates said. "And this is against a city thats got social issues that also have to be addressed; a country thats also trying to deal with the FIFA World Cup coming up in a few months." Coates said dealing with three levels of government in Brazil made it harder for local organizers than it was for the heavily criticized organizers of the Athens Games, which were also plagued by construction delays and earned a "yellow light" warning from then-IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch. "I think this is a worse situaation than Athens," Coates said. Joe Smith Jersey. "In Athens, we were dealing with one government and some city responsibilities. Here, theres three. "There is bureaucracy, there is little co-ordination between the federal, the state government and the city -- which is responsible for a lot of the construction. The flow of funds from the federal government is not happening quickly enough. We think we need to help facilitate that." Coates, who chairs the IOC co-ordination commission for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, said he thinks the IOC has put the message across in Brazil. "We have to make it (the Olympics) happen and that is the IOC approach, you cant walk away from this," he said. "If it comes off -- the first (Olympic) Games on the South American continent, in a magical city in so many ways -- itll be a wonderful experience for the athletes." Work hasnt begun at Deodoro, a complex for eight Olympics sports venues, and the course that will host golfs return to the Olympic program for the first time in more than a century doesnt have grass yet. Water pollution is a big worry for sailing and other sports. Concern over the delays has been building over time but hit crisis levels at the SportAccord meeting in Belek, Turkey, earlier this month. In a rare display of unified, open criticism against an Olympic host, 18 sports federations publicly aired concerns over Rios preparations, with some sports asking about "Plan B" contingencies. The IOC has decided to send a senior troubleshooter, IOC executive director Gilbert Felli, to Brazil as part of a series of emergency measures to tackle the delays threatening the games. Coates said other experienced, high-level staff will soon be appointed. Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes fired back last week at the complaints by sports federations, saying they were making too many unnecessary demands. Paes said the federations were asking for too many "large things" that wont be used by the city after the Olympics. ' ' '
DETROIT -- Doug Weight recalled his father putting him on skates at the age of 2 because he could barely walk due to a childhood condition that relegated him to wearing braces on his legs. Vlade Divac Jersey . "He started putting me on the ice to strengthen them at the suggestion from a doctor," he said. Weight said it wasnt a pretty sight at the rink in St. Clair Shores, Mich. "I looked like Forrest Gump," he joked. Four decades later, Weight was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. The Stanley Cup champion, three-time Olympian and four-time NHL All-Star was inducted Monday night at the Motor City Casino -- in the city where he grew up. "Its ironic," the Detroiter said. "Pretty special." Weight was honoured along with former teammate Bill Guerin, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, three-time Olympian and four-time All-Star. "Its very special, three different NHL teams and nine teams in all," Weight said about the number of times he teamed up with Guerin. "Its a pretty incredible run together. "Its icing on the cake to go in with Billy." Weight and Guerins wives and children have become friends over the years, going on vacations together and sharing holidays as families. "It couldnt have worked out any better," Guerin said. Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos, former college coach Ron Mason and Cindy Curley, one of the pioneers in womens hockey, also were inducted. USA Today Hockey Writer Kevin Allen was also given the Lester Patrick Trophy for outstanding service to hockey in the U.S. at the event. Weight and Guerin began their friendship before they were in the NHL and grew closer while playing together for the Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders. They also teamed up to play for their country on more than once occasion, including the 2002 Winter Olympics when they helped the Americans take the silver medal. Weight, who won a Stanley Cup in 2006 with the Carolina Hurricanes, had 278 career goals and 1,033 points from the 1991-92 season through the 2010-11 season. He is an assistant coach for the New York Islanders. Guerin hoisted Cups in 1995 with the New Jersey Devils and in 2009 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The native of Massachusetts had 429 goals and 856 points in his career that started during the same season as Weight and ended one year earlier. Guerin is a player development coach for the Penguins. Karmanos fell in love hockey when his children began playing the sport, but laments that a lot of kids cant afford to play the game. He said ice cost about $40 an hour when his children were growing up and now costs $300 for the same period of time. Sticks and skates, he said, also are much more expensive. "One of the things that holds us back as a sport is it costs too much," Karmanos said. "Were pricing a lot of people out of the game." Mason led Michigan State and Lake Superior State to national titles and also coached at Bowling Green. He also was an athletic director for the Spartans. "This isnt something you dream about," he said. "If youve put a lot of years in, like I did, as a player and a coach and of course AD, its nice to be rewarded at the end of it." Curley had a record 23 points in the International Ice Hockey Federations first world championship for women in 1990. "The womens game is way behind the mens game and it hasnt been around as long," she said. "We are all, as women, patient for the opportunities that the guys have had. The fact that the Hall is considering women is exciting to me. I know theres so many great players that deserve to be in here that will be. Im just honoured that they considered me." Languishing near the bottom of the Spanish league, Valencias woes deepened by losing 3-0 to Swansea in Group A, sparking a brief walkout by a section of fans midway through the match in protest at the teams poor performances. Swansea secured its greatest ever result by capitalizing on the 10th-minute sending-off of Valencia centre back Adil Rami to score through Wilfried Bony, Michu and Jonathan de Guzman at the Mestalla. "I am so pleased for everybody because now they know they can play against the biggest clubs in the biggest stadiums without any problem," said Swansea manager Michael Laudrup, who fielded six Spanish players in his lineup -- more than Valencia. Bulgarian minnow Ludogorets Razgrad provided a second upset of the night by scoring twice in the final half hour to win 2-0 at PSV, which was European champion in 1988 and also won the UEFA Cup 10 years earlier. Tottenham, among the favourites this season having embarked on a summer spending spree, restored some normality by cruising past Tromso 3-0 thanks to two first-half goals by Jermain Defoe, while Fiorentina beat Pacos Ferreira 3-0, Lazio defeated Legia Warsaw 1-0, two-time former champion Sevilla won 2-1 at tournament debutant Estoril, and Real Betis drew 0-0 with Lyon. All 48 teams were in action across 12 groups in Europes second-tier competition, but there was no doubt where the standout scoreline was. Valencia went down to its biggest home loss in Europe since a 5-1 defeat to Inter Milan in 2004, adding another chapter to Swanseas remarkable rise from a financially troubled fourth-tier club in the English league 10 years ago to a first major trophy (last seasons League Cup) and then this famous European win. The writing was on the wall as soon as Rami was given a straight red for pulling back Bony when the striker was through on goal. Swansea toyed with the hosts at times with its easy-on-the-eye passing game and Bony finished off a flowing move in the 14th minute to put the Welsh team ahead. Clyde Lovellette Jersey . A group of Valencia supporters emptied the stand in the bottom tier behind one of the goals for 10 minutes at the start of the second half in protest, returning just in time to see Michu -- one of Swanseas Spanish contingent -- add a second in the 58th from compatriot Ajejandro Pozuelos through-ball. De Guzman completed the scoring with a fabulous, curling free kick from long range in the 62nd. "I am the same as the players," said Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic, whose club has sold many of its best players over the past couple of seasons. "I am responsible for the situation, it is not just about the players. The performance was not good enough." Valencia, traditionally one of the biggest clubs in Spain, has lost three of its first four matches in La Liga to lie 16th. It was a good night for English Premier League clubs, with Tottenham able to rest a number of its leading players but still easily overcome Tromso at White Hart Lane in Group K. Defoe started ahead of Roberto Soldado, who left Valencia over the summer, and made the most of a rare opportunity by chipping the goalkeeper for the first goal in the 21st minute then sliding another good finish into the corner in the 29th. Substitute Christian Eriksen curled a 20-yarder brilliantly into the top corner for a late third but the win was tarnished by injuries to Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose. Gonzalo Rodriguez, Ryder Matos and Giuseppe Rossi were the scorers for Fiorentina, which wasnt too hindered by the absence to injury of prized striker Mario Gomez, while fellow Italian side Lazio relied on Brazilian midfielder Hernanes goal in the 53rd minute to see off Legia at home. Kevin Gameiro scored Sevillas winner in Portugal after Bruno Miguel cancelled out Victor Machins opener for the visitors. Eintracht Frankfurt crushed Bordeaux 3-0, Genk won 1-0 at Dynamo Kyiv and there were also victories for Salzburg, Rubin Kazan and AZ Alkmaar. ' ' '
